The new Office 365 feature, “I Love Being In The Office”, allows you to use a desktop, laptop or tablet to open the door.
You’ll need to be on the same network as the device to use the feature.
You can find the details of the feature in this post.
The Office 365 suite of apps will be able to open up your home to a desktop and the app will be automatically activated when you open a door.
It can also be activated when a device is on the other side of the house, such as a balcony, to make a home call or when a room has multiple windows.
The feature is available to existing Office 365 subscribers and will roll out to new users in the coming weeks.
Microsoft has said it wants to make Office 365 the “go to” solution for the millions of people who want to work remotely, but the company is taking some heat from some quarters for not releasing the feature sooner.
In a blog post on Monday, the company said it would work with Microsoft to ensure “the best possible experience for our users” and it plans to release the feature later this year.
“We know that working remotely can be difficult, and we’re committed to delivering the best possible Office experience for those who use it for business, personal and family reasons,” the blog post said.
“As part of this work, we’ll work with our partners to improve the Office 365 platform for existing Office subscribers.”
Microsoft’s move to make the feature available to all subscribers follows a similar move earlier this year from Google to allow users to access Google Hangouts on their Android phones.
Microsoft said in its blog post that the feature was not intended to replace the use of a PC, but to complement it.
“It makes more sense to create a single app for all of your workflows,” the company wrote.
“For example, you might want to open a Google Hangout on your desktop and have the phone open it, then a Google Drive app open the Hangout, then another Google Drive, and so on.
This works better for everyone.”
