A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with robbing a convenience store employee of $1,400 in cash, after he said he was robbed by a man who tried to get inside the store.
In February, Matthew Tabor was visiting a friend’s home in South Bend, Indiana, when he said the man told him that someone tried to steal money from him.
The teenager said the person then came to the store and said that he was robbing them and that he wanted to get $1.4 million.
Tabor said he then heard the man say, “You’re a f—— coward.”
He then ran out of the store, and he called police.
The boy was arrested on Thursday.
The South Bend Police Department said the 17-y-old was charged with robbery, possession of a stolen firearm, and carrying a firearm in the commission of a felony.
